Project Description:: creating a garden of Poinciana trees on the concrete place facing the museum; 20 trees transplanted into sculptured- modular containers, to be distributed around the plazza. Central element:- three trees suspended from specially designed lighting posts. Project History :
Key Meanings : Lightness of disconnection, weightless growth, transforming concrete spaces, optimistic disengaged future.
Artist Statement : The plan proposes to transform the concrete square into a garden, this with minimal means and without disturbing its existing modernistic architecture. The organic growing units, and the suspended trees which will be placed slightly above the floor, will radiate a feeling of dynamic lightness – a spirit the city of Tel Aviv aims to follow. |
